N3 Boatworks, a full service marine dealership located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, is in search of a qualified marine mechanic. Our mechanics love working on boats and are passionate about getting boats back to the customer as quickly and safely as possible. They understand the satisfaction of finding the problem and fixing it, whether that’s replacing a battery, performing general maintenance or digging into electrical or audio repairs.

At N3 Boatworks, you will be part of a close-knit team that often feels more like family. Marine experience is not a requirement, but experience working on GM motors is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Examine boat and discuss the nature and extent of malfunction with the service manager
• Perform diagnostics and repair all types of inboard marine engines and transmissions/drives
• Perform mechanical work such as replace carburetors, blowers, distributors, starters, electrical and fuel system; rewire ignition systems, lights and instrument panel; replace and adjust taillights; install and repair accessories such as audio systems, heaters, mirrors and ballast systems
• Operate a hydraulic jack or hoist as needed
• Complete repair work within the established timeframe
• Ensure all warranty work is completed according to the manufacturer's guidelines
• Maintain tools in good condition and according to guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
